Considering chiropractic care
Chiropractors adjust subluxations in the spine, which are partial dislocations in the
spinal vertebrae. When the vertebrae dislocate, the nervous system is affected,
which can affect tissues and organs throughout the body.
Subluxations can occur in babies and children as a result of a difficult birth, tumbles
and falls during the crawling and walking years, falls from learning to ride a bicy-
cle, and emotional stress.
Adjusting or manipulating the spine places the misplaced vertebrae back into place.
Gentle chiropractic adjustments are safe for babies’ fragile and developing spines
and have been effective in aiding common discomforts in babies and children, such
as the following:
-
Earaches and frequent ear infections
-
Bed wetting
-
Colic
-
Frequent crying
-
Constipation
-
Allergies
-
Breathing difficulties
